Vandana, Founder of CoCoon Consulting and Partner with the firm, is closely involved in conceptualizing and designing niche products in the areas of organizational effectiveness, senior management impact and leadership capability building. She mentors design teams within CoCoon as they craft new tools and products, works closely with this team and the clients through the first few rounds of deployment, thereby enabling the institutionalization of the product / productized solution into our repertoire. Some of these include – IMPRINT (a Stakeholder Feedback process for Top Teams), LiA (A Leadership in action coaching process that intertwines coaching, shadowing and stakeholder feedback) and a three-Stage HR School (to equip HR professionals form 1 – 4 years, 5 – 8 years and 9 – 14 years experience with key functional and business partnering knowledge and skills, leveraging workshops, action learning projects and evaluation).
She also provides strategic inputs to various client assignments and designs and facilitates impact and effectiveness-enhancing initiatives for our Client Organizations.
With over 17 years of experience, Vandana started as a freelance HR consultant with various companies in the United States after which she returned to India to work with Hindustan Lever Limited, where her focus was Management Development and Training. She then moved on to head HR for a young IT start-up, where her mandate was to put in place all key HR systems and processes. Then the entrepreneurial bug bit and she set up CoCoon Consulting! Vandana is based out of our Bangalore office.
Vandana holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the Central Michigan University, USA.

Vandana has been a Partner with the Firm since its inception. She has significant experience and expertise in the areas of Organization Effectiveness, Organization Design, Diagnostics and Talent Management. Vandana has worked with many client organizations and their Management Teams to design and implement initiatives and programs that address organizational change, transition and growth, and consequences of the same. Some of the assignments that she has led and been a part of include Creating an Organizational Identity and Winning Culture post the merger of two large, well established organizations; Enabling Scale-up and Growth for a global technology giant, through the design and roll-out of a capability building initiative for the CEOs of their top 100 channel partner organizations; Leadership Team Effectiveness for a global financial services company, across India and the USA through a facilitated 360 feedback and individual action planning with the Senior Leadership team and the CEO.
Her work in the area of Talent Management and Leadership Development includes design of Top Talent Programs, Career Frameworks, Competency Frameworks and development initiatives for Senior Leaders.
She is passionate about, and keenly follows work in the Development Sector in India. Over the years, she has been closely involved in extending her expertise in Organization Design and Effectiveness to various organizations in this sector. At CoCoon, Vandana spearheads our work in this area.
With over 15 years of experience, Vandana started her career with Hindustan Unilever Ltd. At HUL she worked in a variety of HR roles that include Employee Relations and managing HR for the R&D Centre.
She has a Master’s Degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Viji has been a Partner with the Firm and key to building our presence in Mumbai. She has advised clients in consumer goods, banking & financial services, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing sectors. Viji focuses on organizational change and restructuring, leveraging Leadership to achieve growth and professionalizing family owned organization through culture and HR processes. She has helped clients change how they think about issues that cover the range from growth strategy to organizational values to how corporate functions contribute to competitive advantage.
She has recently worked on mapping the organizational culture and institutionalizing it for a young organization towards preparing it for future growth; worked with the regional leadership team of a global MNC in enhancing their effectiveness by leveraging feedback through multiple feedback tools and psychometric profiling; she has also successfully supported another global organization in exploring and implementing an innovative organizational structure for one of its business arms, thereby contributing immensely in growing the top line of the organization.
Viji has significant experience in working with leaders of our largest clients to create superior performance while working with them on issues of HR strategy, Leadership and Organizational Performance.
With over 13 years of experience, Viji was engaged with Unilever in India for 6 years in managing employee relations at a manufacturing plant followed by stints in corporate HR in performance management and recruitment before joining CoCoon as a Partner.
Viji has a Post Graduate degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
