  Client: A Business arm of a global Financial Services provider.

Business Context: In the face of increased competition, growing markets and the need to be more responsive to customer needs the fund management arm of this MNC felt a compelling need to work differently in order to leverage and integrate the expertise that various individuals delivered to their clients. The end objective of the assignment was to reorganize by teaming and partnerships.

The Approach: The first step was to conduct extensive interviews with leaders across functions in the organization to determine the operating practices that were working best, evaluating business results in the light of the current structure. The detailed Diagnostic that followed covered almost 90% of the organization through a combination of structured one on one Interviews and Focus Group Discussions which helped us map the enablers and blockers to the new structure and ways of working.

The key business differential was identified as "Teaming" among the Wealth Management Consultants to achieve breakthrough business results. We also benchmarked systems, processes and associated documents with the country where the organization had implemented a similar approach. Based on the diagnostic and the benchmarking study, we designed a detailed organization structure along with approach to implementation.
