CoCoon's assignments in this area have ranged from putting in place an appropriate structure for several young companies, which addresses both its technical as well as corporate function's needs. We have also been involved in rationalizing organizational structure to facilitate better responsiveness to business priorities for medium and very large organizations.
A key internal-facing architecture element are competency frameworks. What are the key competencies that any employee in your organization needs in order to succeed? How do you communicate key success parameters to your employees? How do you ensure that you are focusing your organization's training budget on building competencies that are aligned with and support the organization's overall business goals?
CoCoon works with organizations in articulating a competency framework that is aligned to the realities of the business as well as that addresses the company's future growth needs. Defining levels of competencies for various organizational levels and finally designing and facilitating a competency mapping process would also be part of this agenda. We would also help organizations align other, key HR systems and processes with the competency framework such as performance management, recruitment, training and succession planning.
